Biography
Shubhada Chiplunkar obtained her Ph.D. University of Mumbai, India, and Post-doctoral fellowship in Max Planck Institute for Immunology, Freiburg, Germany. She is also engaged with American Association of Indian Scientists in Cancer Research, Indian Immunological Society and Indian Society of Cell Biology.She is also associated with American Association of Indian Scientists in Cancer Research, Indian society of Cell Biology, and Indian Immunological Society. Currently she is the Director and Principal Investigator of ACTREC, Mumbai.
Research Area
Her research area mainly focused in Understanding the immunobiology of γδ T cells with reference to anti–tumor immunity, Mechanism of immune dysfunction in patients i.e. role of CD3–zeta chain and Cox, Clonality of TCR and Ig genes in Leukemia’s and Lymphomas, and Crosstalk of NKT cells and Regulatory T cells. She is also engaged with Biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and prognosis to induce Immunotherapy of cancer.
